New Crafty IKEA Desk

Well, it's been a busy week and I haven't been too crafty the last couple of days. The end of school is always tiring and today was our last full day so keeping the kids under control was a task. I wish I had a three day weekend, but I'm working at school all day tomorrow. I'm trying to get a little extra money to support this paper crafting addiction of mine!!

Anyway, something exciting did happen today. My Vika Annefors desk came from IKEA!!! I was looking for a desk with a large surface area to hold all the things that I use all the time and need to keep out including my Cricut (which had been on the floor of my living room), my paper cutter and Martha Stewart scorer (which were living on my dining room table) and my Big Shot which had a nice spot on my kitchen bar. Now they can all live together nicely in my crafty room. And as a bonus this desk has storage in the legs! I can't wait to fill them up. Those middle shelves aren't part of the desk, they're keeping the DVR out of the way. BTW, the desk was super easy to put together, you just need a regular screwdriver and a hammer. I did all by myself - no problems.

So after school is out next week, my first project will be to reorganize the craft room and take lots of pictures to share with you here. I've been totally inspired by Creative Spaces Magazine to get in there and get organized. Hope you have a great Holiday Weekend!

It was so easy to put these on a block and they stamped out great. And, they were really fun to color. I just kept it simple and graphic on this card. I'm entering it into this week's Wee Memories Challenge to use stamps.
