Christmas Card Challenges #15

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have an Inspiration Photo challenge. I can't wait to see what you make!  It's never too early to get started on your Christmas Cards.

I was inspired to create a card with a wreath on it. I was inspired to create a card with a wreath. I decided to use non-traditional colors. First, I made a circle with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink. Then I stamped the wreath from a JOFY Christmas set in Versafine Ink. I cut out the stars and colored them with Gold Metallic Spectrum Noir colored pencil. I colored the circles with other Metallic colored pencils. I adhered the starts with foam dots. Then I added a few gold pearls. I created the wreath on a kraft paper panel and lined the edges with a black Memento marker, then adhered the panel to my card base. Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Monthly Challenge - Destination Unknown Tag

It's mid-month inspiration day today over at the Mixed Media Monthly June "A Year of Choices" Challenge. Today I'm sharing a tag I created using Visible Image stamps from a set called Destination Unknown. I put gesso on the tag and sprayed with some pink and yellow Dylusions and Distress Sprays and let them drip down the card. Then I just stamped the images with Versafine ink and cut out a few and adhered them with foam tape. I went around the edges with a black Memento Marker. To make the ribbon I used Tim Holtz white ribbon and sprayed it with Tattered Angels Boardwalk spray.

Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #37 - A Year of Choices

It's time for a new challenge over at the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge. It's our 3rd Birthday and we are celebrating with our "Year of Choices" Challenge. You can pick any theme that we've had over the last year. The challenges are listed in our graphic. Our sponsor is Donna Downey Studios and she is offering a $50 gift certificate to her online store!! We've also updated the look of our Web site so be sure to click over there and take a look.

For my project, I chose to "Put a Stamp on It." I used this big house stamp from Carabelle Studio in France. You can purchase this stamp at Topflight Stamps. The stamp is called Maison.

Maison
I created the background applying Dina Wakely paints and adding some stamping an rub-ons. I took this photo before I decided to add the rub-ons.

I colored the house by putting a baby wipe over my finger and rubbing it on a Tim Holtz Crayon and then rubbing on the paper. I adhered the house to the canvas with thick foam tape. To finish it off I added some Prima flowers that I thought looked like a hedge. Thanks for stopping by!
