Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #49 - Wrap it Up - The Final Challenge

It's time for the another challenge over at the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge and this one is the last. After 4 years of running an awesome challenge, I've decided to end the challenge this month. It was a hard decision, but my life has changed a lot in the last 4 years and I just don't have the time to devote to it that it deserves.

Our sponsor this month is the lovely Eileen Hull. She's given us all dies that wrap around to use for our projects. I created the blueish, lavender background using the new Seth Apter #4 set of paints from PaperArtsy. I randomly used all the colors and some sponges to the the background. Then I used a PaperArtsy Kay Carley Stencil #78 with PaperArtsy Grunge paste to add some fun accents. I made the cover for a small journal.

I hope you will join us for our last challenge and thanks to all those of you who have played from the beginning and those of you who just found us. It's been a great ride.

PaperArtsy Paints

I created a brayered background using the more pink and purple paints. Then I stamps with Versafine Archival Black Ink and colored in the stamps with the PaperArtsy Fresco paints. I cut out the heart from a journal page where I had been cleaning my brayer so it had the same colors. Then I sprayed it with Dina Wakley Ruby Shimmer Spray covered it with Prismacolor glitter pen. I adhered it to the gesso board from Dick Blick Art Supplies with foam tape. Then I adhered the Tim Holtz word strip with Elmers glue pen. I also went over the border scallops with matching Prismacolor glitter pens.

Christmas Card Challenges #16

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have an Inspiration Photo challenge with red ornaments. I can't wait to see what you make!  It's never too early to get started on your Christmas Cards.

I was inspired to create a card that has red ornaments as the focus. I used a PaperArtsy stamp set called JOFY 27.  It's one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets of all time and it's not available in my new online store Topflight Stamps along with many other PaperArtsy stamps. I colored the ornaments with Copic markers and stamped the corners from the set and the sentiment. I colored the sentiment, corners and ornaments tops with a Metallic silver colored pencil from Spectrum Noir and blended with Gamsol.  Then I adhered the ornaments and added some small bows to finish it off. A simple and fun card that uses these awesome ornaments for a great focal point. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #15

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have an Inspiration Photo challenge. I can't wait to see what you make!  It's never too early to get started on your Christmas Cards.

I was inspired to create a card with a wreath on it. I was inspired to create a card with a wreath. I decided to use non-traditional colors. First, I made a circle with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink. Then I stamped the wreath from a JOFY Christmas set in Versafine Ink. I cut out the stars and colored them with Gold Metallic Spectrum Noir colored pencil. I colored the circles with other Metallic colored pencils. I adhered the starts with foam dots. Then I added a few gold pearls. I created the wreath on a kraft paper panel and lined the edges with a black Memento marker, then adhered the panel to my card base. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #1 - Candy Cane

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have a word prompt challenge - Candy Cane.  I can't wait to see what you create!

This paper reminded me of a candy cane. I used a new PaperArtsy JOFY stamp set. I really love this big present. I fussy cut some paper scraps, layered with some kraft and white card stock and added lines with my Faber Castell Pitt Pen to add a little interest. It's an easy and cute Christmas card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Painted Mini Snowman Canvas Tote

I have a few Mini Canvas Bags from CanvasCorp in my stash and I decided to decorate this one for the holidays. I kind of love how it turned out.

First, I painted some Tattered Angels Tan High Impact Pigment Paint. It looks great with the color of the canvas and provides a surface that is easier to stamp and paint on than the regular canvas.

Then I stamped this super cute JOFY PaperArtsy snowman stamp from JOFY 04 in Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink.

Finally, I painted the snowman with PaperArtsy paint in Chalk and then I added some snow dots with the white paint. I colored in the rest of details with my new Tombow Dual Brush Markers. In places where the lines were light or covered up, I went over them with a Faber Castell Black Pitt Pen.

I think this is so cute and would make an adorable gift bag. Here is a link to the Mini Canvas Bag. Thanks for stopping by!!!

I had the perfect stamp for this. It was part of my new PaperArtsy JOFY #47 stamp set. I love this fund cupcake holder filled with holiday decorations. I used Distress Inks (Salty Ocean and Squeezed Lemonade) to create the background and I watercolored with Distress Markers to color in the images. It ended up being a fun and colorful card. Christmas Card Challenges #33

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have a new Color Challenge.  These colors are so pretty together.  I can't wait to see what everyone creates.

For my card, I used PaperArtsy Jofy stamps. I colored the ornaments and words with Copic Markers. To add some depth I added Clear Pico Embellisher to the ornaments so they are thick and shiny. You can't really tell in the photo, but it's cool in person. It's such a fun product to use.  Thanks for stopping by!
