7 Days of Easter Projects - Day 6

Welcome to Day 5 of The 7 Days of Easter Projects Blog Event. Several crafty bloggers and I are posting 1 Easter project a day for 7 days - just for fun. We’re posting projects we made using products we like and hope they will give you some inspiration for your own Easter craft projects. You will find links to all the other participating bloggers below. Hopefully you can find time to look at their blogs and leave comments on any that inspire you. Happy Easter Crafting!!

I can't believe it's already Day 6!! Today I'm sharing an Easter tag. I used some new stamps I got at the local Stamp & Scrap Art Show last month. They are Dylusions new Alphabet stamps and Tim Holtz new Blueprints stamps. If you follow my blog at all, you know I always have these tags around that I've made by swiping up excess spray inks and that's how the background on this tag was made. I liked it because it was mainly pink with a little orange - good Easter colors. I stamped with black Archival ink and added some Tim Holtz Autumn Tinsel on the top of the tag.

This would be cute on a basket or Easter goodie bag. I hope you find some time to visit the other girls today and don't forget to come back tomorrow for our last day!

Please excuse my shadows and CAS projects, but I'm in the middle of moving and my house is on the market and my light box is packed and all my crafty things are in different closets and it's just not easy to get to my stuff right now!! So, that being said, for today's project I have another card that features papers and a rosette from Little Yellow Bicycle. The bunny is a Lawn Fawn Stamp from Critters in the Burbs and the sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Stamp set called Happy Everything. I colored the bunny with a gray and pink Copic Marker. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come back tomorrow for Day 5!

For today's card I used papers from Little Yellow Bicycle - Hello Spring. The bunny is a Tim Holtz die and the twine is from Doodlebug Designs. The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts. I love these colors for Easter and this bunny is my favorite. I just decided to make a simple, graphic Easter card. For my card I used some polka dot paper from my Studio Calico Card Kit paper pad and chipboard from K&Company that a friend gave me. I don't use a lot of chipboard, but it sure is fun and easy to use to make a great card quickly. This is another easy project anyone can do in no time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join us tomorrow for Day 3!!

For Day 1 I made this FAITH decor piece. Obviously it's not serious decor, just fun and seasonal. I love to use polka dots at Easter. I found this wooden word at Hobby Lobby. First, I painted it using my new Tim Holtz Distress Paints in Picket Fence and Spun Sugar. Then, I cut out the circles and chicks from SRM Stickers and added the rick rack which is also from SRM Stickers. It's just a fun and easy Easter project that kids of all ages can make. Hope to see you back here tomorrow for Day 2!

The Play Date Cafe #173

Welcome to this week's color challenge from The Play Date Cafe. It's color splash time and this time it's  Black, White and a splash of Coral. I used one of Tim Holtz new blueprint stamps. I colored the butterfly with the Coral Copic Marker R35. I did a little more than a splash, but when I colored less I felt it didn't look right. Then I added some Gray Divine Twine and Coral twine from My Minds Eye to the bottom of the card. I kept them random to copy a technique used frequently by my good friend and fellow PDCC designer Rachel

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp. The will give this week's lucky winner a gift certificate.
