Christmas Card Challenges #38

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have everyones' favorite challenge Anything Goes. I can't wait to see what you create!

For my card, I used a Hero Arts globe stamps that I watercolored and sprayed some sparkle spray on it. The Peace on earth sentiment and die is from Clearly Besotted. I got the shiny blue yardstick at a stamp show and the twine is from Papertrey Ink. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #36 - Angels

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have a new Word Prompt Challenge and the word is Angels.

For my card, I used a cute stamp set & matching dies from Neat & Tangled. I created the background of the card with watercolors and colored the angel with Copic markers. I added clear glitter to her wings with a Quickie Glue Stick, but it's hard to tell in the picture how sparkly they are. I heated embossed the sentiment and added Wink of Stella sparkles to the halo. I think this little angel is so cute! Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #35

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have a Photo Inspiration Challenge with Snowflakes.  It's never too early to get started on your Christmas Cards. I hope you will join us this week!

For my card, I used a a grunge board Christmas ornament that I made a few years ago. I love to find a way to use something I made, but never did anything with.  The background paper is a masterboard I made from PaperArtsy paints and stamps. Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Monthly #27 - Travel

It's time for a new challenge over at the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge. Our theme this month is "Travel." Our Guest Designer and sponsor is "The Frugal Crafter" herself, Lindsay Weirich. She's giving away a spot to her Craftsy Mixed Media Mix It Up class to our lucky random winner!! She's also offering 1/2 off to her class to all our followers. Be sure to go to the blog and check it out!!

I created a "Travel" theme tag, inspired by Tim Holtz's July 2016 tag. I created the background from an old map that I covered with Distress Inks. Then I stamped a few of Tim's stamps on it in Black Soot and Hickory Smoke Distress Inks. I used some old Crackle Paints on the cloud and airplane dies. I also used a stencil with Black Soot Distress Ink for the sentiment. On the film strip I used Tim's Chit Chat words. The suitcases are a Stampotique stamp that I added some distress inks and glittery accents to. To finish it off I died Tim's ribbon with distress stains and added the Journey token. I can't wait to see your travel theme creation. Thanks for stopping by!
