Christmas Card Challenges #13 -Wreath

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have a Word Prompt challenge - Wreath. I can't wait to see what you make!  It's never too early to get started on your Christmas Cards.

For this card I used a chipboard door by Maya Road. I painted it with PaperArtsy Fresco painting Caribean Blue. The wreath is from Tim Holtz. I added some red pearls to the wreath and colored the bow with Zig Wink of Stella to make it sparkle. I used a Tim Holtz die for the Greetings word. The papers are from Fancy Pants Oh Dear Collection. Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #36 - "Put a Stamp On It"

It's time for a new Mixed Media Monthly Challenge. This month our challenge it so "Put a Stamp On It" so easy - just make something with a stamped image. Our sponsor this month is my new store www.topflightstamps.com. Our lucky winner will win a $25 gift card from Topflight Stamps!!! I sell stamps from all around the world in one place. Be sure to check out Topflight Stamps.

Each of our designers this month used some awesome stamps from Topflight Stamps on their projects. I used a stamp set by JoyCrafts! from The Netherlands called Seashore Icons - perfect for you summer cards. I really love the images in this nautical set.

First, I used a 6 x 6 navy blue card base and stamped a background from stamps in the set with Versamark Ink. Then I brushed Pewter Perfect Pearls over the Versamark Ink. This technique makes such a pretty and subtle background. I'm not sure why the lighting made the navy card stock look so light, but the second picture is the correct color.

The I stamp the lighthouse scene from the stamp set with my MISTI. I stamped it several times
using different colors in different places with my Tombow Markers. I shaded the edges with a Prima Chalk Ink Edger Pad in Old Road. I matted the paper with a DCWV burlap panel.
I used PPA Glue to adhere the paper to the fabric and the fabric to the paper.
I love PPA because it dries clears and works on almost everything.

Thanks for stopping by!! Be sure to play this month at The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge.
