Each of our designers this month used some awesome stamps from Topflight Stamps on their projects. I used a stamp set by JoyCrafts! from The Netherlands called
Seashore Icons - perfect for you summer cards. I really love the images in this nautical set.
First, I used a 6 x 6 navy blue card base and stamped a background from stamps in the set with Versamark Ink. Then I brushed Pewter Perfect Pearls over the Versamark Ink. This technique makes such a pretty and subtle background. I'm not sure why the lighting made the navy card stock look so light, but the second picture is the correct color.
The I stamp the lighthouse scene from the stamp set with my MISTI. I stamped it several times
using different colors in different places with my Tombow Markers. I shaded the edges with a Prima Chalk Ink Edger Pad in Old Road. I matted the paper with a DCWV burlap panel.
I used PPA Glue to adhere the paper to the fabric and the fabric to the paper.
I love PPA because it dries clears and works on almost everything.
Thanks for stopping by!! Be sure to play this month at The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge.
