Have a Cool Christmas

I made this card for the current Curtain Call Challenge using a Stampendous stamp set that I got last week at Michaels. I just love these cute penguins. They come with matching dies so it's a fun set. I colored them with my Tombow Markers.

I hope you have a Cool Christmas!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

3-D Christmas Cards with Concord & 9th.

I was so happy when Ellen Hutson had a Christmas sale several weeks ago. I was finally able to purchase the Concord & 9th Christmas Cottage Stamp & Die set and they were 30% off!! The best way to figure out how to make these fun scenes is to watch the Concord & 9th Video that takes you step by step how to cut the papers to the right sizes and get started correctly. I would suggest making several of these at once because it does take some thought and concentration to cut everything to right size. Here is a link to the video. https://youtu.be/kK-Y74kRI_A They have a pdf you can look at also.

I made about 10 of them and I used different background colors to see what colors I liked the best. Some got mailed before I took photos, but I made sure to keep these to and photograph them before they got sent out. I was happy with all of them. I stamped with colored inks after die cutting all the elements and I used Stickles along the snow lines to add some interest. I used my Signo white gel pen to make dots on the colored paper that can be snow or stars. The sentiment is from a PinkFresh holiday stamp set. These were really fun to make but they took time so make sure you don't have to rush through them when you decide to make them

Hope these give you some inspiration for using these super fun and unique dies and stamps.

Christmas Card Challenges #2

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have a Photo Inspiration challenge.  I can't wait to see what you create!

I was inspired by the colors of the carolers and the blue section at the bottom of the photo. I used a background stamp by Pinkfresh Studio. I colored in the presents and background with my Tomboy markers. The Season's Greetings die is from Avery Elle. It was little hard to see the words when I first put them down on the card so I brushed some white ink over the middle of the card to dull the background a little so the words stand out more. It was a fun card to color. Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #31 - Merry & Bright - Mid-Month Inspiration

I made another project this month for the Mixed Media Monthly December "Merry & Bright" Challenge using Eileen Hull's Loaf Pan die. I mixed my own color of blue paint using Distress Mermaid Lagoon and Distress Blueprint Sketch paints. I painted the front and back of the pan and taped it together with double sided tape. Then, I added some American Craft Remarks Snowflake stickers. Finally, I used buttons, beads and sequins from the 28LilacLane Winter Wonderland Embellishment set from May Flaum.

Christmas Card Challenges #1 - Candy Cane

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have a word prompt challenge - Candy Cane.  I can't wait to see what you create!

This paper reminded me of a candy cane. I used a new PaperArtsy JOFY stamp set. I really love this big present. I fussy cut some paper scraps, layered with some kraft and white card stock and added lines with my Faber Castell Pitt Pen to add a little interest. It's an easy and cute Christmas card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #31 - Merry & Bright

It's time for a new challenge over at the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge. This month we have a fun color challenge. These colors go with all your Fall/Autumn/Thanksgiving projects. Our sponsor is Eileen Hull and she is giving our lucky random winner one of her awesome dies. Check it out on the blog.

I decorated my box made with her Square Box die, die cut using mat board. I used IndigoBlu paints, a Jillibean Soup circle stencil and some sequins and tiny rhinestones. I wanted to make it as fun and cheery as possible. To finish it off I added a silver, sequined bow from Maya Road. Below are some photos I snapped along the way. I hope you will play with us this month. Thanks for stopping by!

Here is how the dies look when you first cut them out.

I added a couple of layers of IndigoBlue Townhouse Teal.

Then I chose one size circle and traced them lightly with a pencil

Then I painted in the circles (not the bottom) an adhered the box
with strong double sided tape.

To finish it off I added two layers of sequins and tiny rhinestone
to each dot and a pretty, sparkly bow.
