I love Denami Stamps and I thought these little Butterfly Stamps were just too cute. For this card I used Denami's Window stamp and Decorative Butterflies set. I colored the window with Copics and stamped the butterflies with Ranger Archival Inks. The decorative paper is from Tim & Beck for Studio Calico and the card stock and sentiment stamp color is Night of Navy by Stampin' Up. The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

Christmas Card Challenges #25

It's time for this week's Christmas Card Challenge. This week the challenge is to make a Christmas, Holiday or Winter card using buttons and twine. I just love using buttons and twine and I have a lot of both in my stash!! For this card I used decorative paper from Crate Paper and a Hero Arts Gingerbread Man. I colored the Gingerbread Man with Copics and added Red Stickles and white pompoms to his Santa hat. Then I added green buttons and covered them with Diamond Stickles so they would be glittery. I added twine at the bottom - it's from Papertry Ink.

TAWS Be Inspired Challenge #52

I made this card for the current Be Inspired Challenge by The Alley Way Stamps. I was inspired by the white and green in the photo. I used the Spell Check and Tiny Treasures stamp sets. I stamped with black Staz On ink. The green paper and marker are Certainly Celery from Stampin' Up. Thanks for stopping by!!

Christmas Card Challenges #24

It's my first post for Christmas Card Challenges. I'm so happy to be on their design team. This week the challenge is to make a Christmas, Holiday, or Winter card using dry embossing. For this card, I dry embossed this Tim Holtz snowman with an embossing folder and cut him out. Then I covered the snowman in Tim Holtz Clear Rock Candy Stickles to give him more depth and a little sparkle. I used snowflake paper from a DCWV paper pad called Jingle Bells. I colored around the edges with a White Faber Castell Stamper's Big Brush Pen. Finally, I added Goodness Thickers by Amy Tangerine for the sentiment.

A Quick & Fun Crafty Announcement

It's been a fun and busy crafty week. Announcing our new Mixed Media Challenge Blog on May 1 was so much fun and the response has been overwhelmingly positive and encouraging. I can't wait to reveal the rest of the Design Team members and give away awesome prizes all month long!!

Then, on May 1st I also received notification that I was chosen to be on the Christmas Card Challenges Design Team. I've played with their challenge many times in the past and I LOVE making Christmas cards so I am thrilled to be a part of this design team. I can't wait to get my Christmas stamps inky all year round. It's a weekly challenge that starts every Sunday, so check it out if you get a chance and get a head start on your Christmas Cards this year. It's been a while since I've been on a weekly design team and I'm looking forward to the challenge!!

Finally, A HUGE Crafty Announcement!!

Today I have a HUGE announcement to make. After 6 months of planning and planning and planning, today I am finally introducing a new challenge blog created by me and my crafty BFF Rachel of www.rwkrafts.com We are so excited!

Our new challenge is called The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge and the URL is http://mixedmediamc.blogspot.com Over the last two years Rachel and I have been dabbling more and more in mixed media and we thought it would be fun to have a challenge for people to experiment with mixed media techniques.  We are looking for players of all skill levels from beginner to advanced. We wanted a place for those of us who started as cardmakers could have a reason to start branching out into and using new mediums and a place where mixed media veterans could show off their expertise. 

We are so happy to let you know that we have teamed up with MANY awesome retailers who will be offering monthly prizes. And, we have lined up some fabulous and inspirational design team members and guest designers. 

Today is our big kick off. We'll be giving away prizes every Friday in May starting May 9 to our new followers. Check out the blog to see all the ways you can follow us on social media sites. Every Saturday in May we'll be introducing Design Team members. 

Our first challenge will go live on June 1!!!! We hope you will join us for our first challenge and, while you're anxiously awaiting June 1, help us spread the word throughout the crafty community.
