Christmas Card Challenge #25

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have an Inspiration Photo challenge with Cats.  It's time to get your Christmas Cards made!!

To make this card I used the Katzelkraft stamp set called Russian Cats. They have such funny expressions. I also used the Accessories set that coordinates with all the Katzelkraft animal stamp sets. I colored the kitty and the background with Comic Markers. I added some glittery ornaments and the sentiment is from a Carabelle stamp set. I'm linking to all these stamps below. They are all available in my online store www.topflightstamps.com. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #16

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have an Inspiration Photo challenge with red ornaments. I can't wait to see what you make!  It's never too early to get started on your Christmas Cards.

I was inspired to create a card that has red ornaments as the focus. I used a PaperArtsy stamp set called JOFY 27.  It's one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets of all time and it's not available in my new online store Topflight Stamps along with many other PaperArtsy stamps. I colored the ornaments with Copic markers and stamped the corners from the set and the sentiment. I colored the sentiment, corners and ornaments tops with a Metallic silver colored pencil from Spectrum Noir and blended with Gamsol.  Then I adhered the ornaments and added some small bows to finish it off. A simple and fun card that uses these awesome ornaments for a great focal point. Thanks for stopping by!

For my card, I used some Distress inks to created the background and I used a Lawn Fawn dies and stamps for the background, sentiment and snowmen. I colored the snowmen with Copic markers. These are two of my favorite snowmen ever. I think they look so cute together.  Thanks for stopping by!

I cut out all the pieces, colored them with Copic markers and adhered them to the original panel. I die cut the panels with Lawn Fawn stitched dies. I also added some enamel dots and some Wink of Stella to the star. It's my favorite kind of card, quick and easy. Thanks for stopping by!

Unity Friends with Flair Friday

I made this card for the Unity Stamp Company Friends with Flair Friday. I used the Itty Bitty stamp called Live Half Full and papers from the Heidi Grace Sunshowers collection. I stamped the glass on vellum and turned it over and colored it with Copic markers. Then I stamped it on vellum again and didn't color it and I glued the two pieces together. This made the "clear" area of the glass more pronounced. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #21

It's time for this week's challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week our Challenge is everybody's favorite, "ANYTHING GOES"!  I hope you will get a head start on your Christmas cards and join us this week. We now pick a weekly winner and honorable mentions! Thanks for stopping by!

For my card I used a large wooden stamp that I found on clearance at my LSS. They are discontinuing all wood stamps so I couldn't resist this cute Christmas vignette. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copic Markers. I think it needed a little bling so I pulled out my Stickles and went a little Stickles crazy. Now it has plenty of bling!! Just a fun and easy card to make. Thanks for stopping by!

The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #4 - Color Challenge

It's time for The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #4 and it's a color challenge. Our designer Lynn Adams found this awesome photo that is so inspirational. Feel free to use as many or few colors in the picture as you like. We had such a huge response with so many amazing entries last month, I just can't wait to see what you all come up with this month. Remember, you can make anything, just mention how you were inspired by these colors.

Our sponsor this month is Ellen Hutson, LLC, one of my favorite places to shop online for crafty items. They are offering a $25 gift certificate to our lucky random winner. So everyone who plays has the same chance of winning this great prize.

For my card, I used a fun stamp called Sweet Dahlia by Penny Black that I purchased from Ellen Hutson here. I've been trying to practice more with my Copics so this card was a perfect place to try out some shading. I stamped it several times and practiced coloring it different ways until I finally settled on the way I liked it best. Of course I was inspired by the Dahlia and the beautiful bright colors in the photo. Here is the stamp.

To make this card I started with a 5x5 PTI kraft card stock base. Then I added a layer of DCWV colored cardboard in blue and a layer of DCWV colored burlap in green and I inked the edges of the card with a green chalk ink edger. I framed the card with small kraft colored brads from Stampin' Up and twine from PTI. I stamped the image with Black Ranger Archival ink and colored it in with Copic Markers and inked the edges with yellow ink.  I really like how this turned out and it was super fun to make. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will play along with us this month!!

Christmas Card Challenges #40

Welcome to this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  This week we have everyone's favorite - Anything Goes! So pull out your Christmas stamps, paper and embellishments and make any kind of card you like. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this week!

For my card, I wanted to use my new Penny Black Stamp Set called Winter Wonderland. I colored the cute little scene with Copics and added some sequins for ornaments on the tree and some Yello Stickles on the moon. The background paper is some old Dyan Reaveley pre-Dylusions paper that I picked up when I visited her store in North Yorkshire last summer. I was so happy to finally use it. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #37

It's time for another challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  This week we have a color challenge. I used this cute Presents Wreath stamps by Lockhart stamps and colored the presents with Copic markers that I thought were close to the color scheme. I printed off the photo and the colors look little different on the screen than they did on my hard copy. But, anyway, it was fun to use these colors to make a different looking Christmas Card. They are really beautiful colors. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I can't wait to see what everyone makes this week! Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #35

Welcome to this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have everybody's favorite challenge - Anything Goes!! I pulled out one of my favorite stamps. It's called Hanging Christmas Ornaments by Hero Arts. I used some papers by My Minds Eye and colored the ornaments with Copics based on colors in the striped background paper. The vertical sentiment is from Impression Obsession. Sometimes it's just handy to have a vertical sentiment. I can't wait to see what everyone makes this week! Thanks for stopping by!

Newton's Nook Challenge #11 - Citrus Colors

I made this card for the current challenge over at Newton's Nook. I was lucky enough to win the Sweet Summer stamp set and I'm excited I got it in time for this challenge. It's my first stamp set from Newton's Nook and I just love it. The stamps work perfectly and the images are so cute and the sentiments are unique.

I colored all my "slices" with Copic markers. Then I stamped the banner pieces and cut them out, then stamped the little hearts on the banners. I roughly lined the edges of the banners just to add some color and fun. I adhered all the images with foam tape and added some jute twine from PTI behind the banner. I stamped the images and the sentiment in Tuxedo Black - Memento Ink. The kraft card stock is also from PTI.  Thanks for stopping by!

 Here's my card.

Unity Friends with Flair Friday

I made these cards for the Unity Friends With Flair Friday challenge using the cute Unity stamp called Pretty Easter Find. I colored the image with Copics and used some pretty Easter papers from my stash for the scallop circle and card base. I made 20 of these cards and they are all different, but it's late and I only took pictures of these two. I may add some more tomorrow to this post if I have time. These are just simple and straightforward cards made using pretty papers. The image was really fun to color. Thanks for stopping by!!

Mimi Halloween Cards

I wanted to use my Penny Black Mimi Halloween set this year. I bought lots of new Copic markers last weekend with an extra discount I had, so I really wanted to color also. So, I colored the 4 main images in the set. Before I made the cards I checked out the Penny Black Saturday Challenge to see if any of them would fit and I saw it was a sketch challenge so I made all the cards using that sketch. I also picked up some glitter paper while I was out last weekend so I used glitter paper on all the cards. Thanks for taking a look!

Here are my cards:
