Lawnscaping Challenge - Stars and Stripes

I made this card for the current Lawnscaping Challenge. I used stamps from the Lawn Fawn sets Happy 4th and Bannerific. To make the card I sprayed the card with Dylusions spray inks in London Blue and Postbox Red. Then I stamped the fireworks in Carnation Red and Aquamarine Archival Inks and added some red and blue sequins. I used patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs Patriotic Parade. Howdy Cactus

I'm entering this card into the current Lawnscaping Challenge - to add Dimension and Virginias View Challenge - Layers and Dimension. I used a new to me Lawn Fawn stamp set and dies called Stuck on You.  I created the background using Pan Pastels and die cut it with a stitched circle die. I was hoping to get the feel of a beautiful Arizona sunset that I've heard about and seen in pictures. I used PTI inks in Mowed Lawn, Hibiscus Burst and Chocolate Brown. I adhered the flowers to the cacti with foam tape and adhered the cacti to the background with foam tape to add dimension. To add a little more dimension and color I added a panel of DCWV Burlap paper. Thanks for stopping by!

 

Lawn Fawn Scripty Thanks

I made this card originally for the Lawnscaping Challenge #85 which is a color challenge this week and then I realized it would also fit Virginia's View Challenge #5 Die Cuts and the Moxie Fab World Wonderful Words Challenge. So, I'm entering this one into three challenges.

To make this card I made my own watercolor paper like Virginia suggested a few days ago. I wasn't sure if I would use this for the background paper or in another way. As you can see I decided on another way, to use it for my tag. Here's what my paper looked like after I colored it with my Stampin' Up watercolor pencils in the Lawnscaping Challenge colors. Then brushed over the paper with a watercolor brush. I recently bought a new, relatively expensive watercolor brush because I found the cheap ones I had constantly dropped bristles and I had to keep picking them out of my projects. Luckily I got a little discount at Michaels. But, I really love my new brush and it didn't loose any bristles, yay!!

After I finished my watercolor paper I die cut the tag which is the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 Die. I lined the edges of the tag with my black Stampers Big Brush pen. The Thanks die cut is the Scripty Thanks from Lawn Fawn. The curved line is from a Lawn Fawn stamp set called Happy Summer. The cord on the tag is from Lawn Trimmings Retro. The black paper is from PTI, the white paper is Neenah, the blue paper is from Stampin' Up, and the Tag background was made on paper from my mixed media art journal. Thanks for stopping by!

Lawnscaping Challenge #75 Dots & Heart

I made this card for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #75 - to use Dots and/or Hearts. I used this cute heart paper and these fun white enamel hearts that were in my Studio Calico Kit that came yesterday. All the stamps are Lawn Fawn and I colored the images with PrismaColor Markers and blended with Gamsol. I needed a Valentine for my friends 6 year old son so I thought this would be perfect for him. Bee Mine

I made this card for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Be My Valentine and the current Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - Cross My Heart. For the Lawnscaping Challenge I was inspired by all the pink and hearts and flowers in the picture and for the Moxie Fab Trigger I was inspired by the turquoise, white and pink and the hearts and flowers.  I used a stamp set by Lawn Fawn called Bee Mine. Butterfly Hello

I made this card using Lawn Fawn stamps and papers. The stamps I used were Flutterby for the Butterfly, Cruising Through Life for the swirl, and Just My Type for the sentiment. I colored in the butterfly with Copic. I attached the butterfly with foam tape and bent the wings a little to add dimension.

Lawnscaping Challenge #35 - Critters Down Under

I made this card for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #35 - to use patterned paper. I just love this new Lawn Fawn stamp set called Critters Down Under. Ever since I visited Australia, I just love the animals there and these are just too cute! I had to use all the animals in the set - even the cute Kookaburra in the tree! I paper pieced everything only using Lawn Fawn Bright Side papers. Thanks for taking a look!

CAS - You Inspire Me

I made this very CAS card for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #30 and Tuesday Trigger - Simple Elegance - in the Moxie Fab World. The Lawnscaping Challenge is to be inspired by anything and I was inspired by this week's Tuesday Trigger photo. I was inspired by the white moulding with the darker painted wall and by the pink tulips and green stems in the lower right corner of the photo in front of the white fireplace. The flower and sentiment are from the new Lawn Fawn stamp set called Flutter By which was also given to me as my publication incentive - thank you Lawn Fawn!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Frosty Friends Tag

I'm so happy to be able to make some things for challenges again.  I made this tag for the current Lawnscaping Challenge and Cupcake Craft Challenge. The Lawnscaping theme is Tags or Treat Bags and the Cupcake Craft theme is to make your own background paper. 

To make this tag I embossed snowflakes from Lawn Fawn Frosties stamp set in white. Then combined several colors of distress ink together to get this cool gray blue wintry colored background color. I added some Rock Candy Distress Stickles to the ear muffs and the top of the hat. It was a fun tag to make and I really like how it turned out. Thanks for taking a look!

I made a card using the new Happy Haunting stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I paper pieced the house and made the ghosts from Clearly for Art modeling paper by Wendi Vecchi. You just stamp the paper with permanent ink, cut it out and heat with heat tool. When it becomes soft you have about 10 seconds to mold it before it hardens in place. I added some close ups of the ghosts so you can see the effect - it's kind of hard to see on the straight on card picture.

Materials

1. Card stock - Whipser White, Basic Black (Stampin Up)

2. Decorative Paper - KP Halloween Mat Pad (K & Company)

3. Stamp Set - Happy Haunting (Lawn Fawn)

4. Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento)

5. Modeling Paper - Clearly For Art White (Wendy Vecchi)

6. Vellum (Papertrey Ink)

7. Die - Circle (Sizzix)

8. Banner Die (Papertrey Ink)
9. Black sparkle brads (Michaels)

Instructions

1. Create card from black card stock - finished size is 5x5.

2. Cut smaller square panel and adhere to card.

3. Cut a circle in purple and green paper.

4. Draw a curved line on the green circle and cut out. 

5. Adhere the bottom part of the green circle to the purple circle and adhere to card.

6. Stamp the haunted house on several different patterned papers, cut out the different elements and adhere to the main haunted house image

7. Stamp moon and bat and cut out

8. Adhere paper-pieced house and moon to card

9. Stamp ghosts on white Clearly for Art paper and cut out

10. Heat ghosts with heat tool and when they become soft shape them the way you like - you have about 10 secs (if you don't like how it turns out - heat it up and shape it again)

11. Adhere ghosts to card with foam tape

12. Cut vellum banner from die and stamp sentiment
