7 Days of Halloween Projects Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of the 7 Days of Halloween Inspiration Blog Event brought to you by "The Inspiration Crew".  We’re a group of online crafty friends who love being creative. This time we're doing a 7-day event to provide you with tons of Halloween Inspiration.

For my Day 4 Project I'm sharing a tag I made for a Halloween Prima Doll Stamp Tag Swap. I used a Julie Nutting Stamp set for Prima called Little Miss Witchy Poo. I used Distress Stains for the background and Dylusions gray spray ink for the web stencil. Then I covered the tag with Sparkle Glitter. It's very shiny in person. I paper pieced her outfit the bats and the pumpkin. Then I added Prima orange trim on the bottom and Tim Holtz tinsel trim on the top of the tag. I adhered the bats and the sentiment with foam tape. Denami Adorable Animals Blog Hop

I did a lot of paper piecing on this card and I used 3 different Denami stamps. The pot and shelf are cling stamps from a set called Garden Accessories 1 and the sentiment is also a cling stamp. The butterfly and flower are wood mount stamps.

The Play Date Cafe #156


Welcome to this week's Play Date Cafe Challenge. Our colors Cinnamon, Squash, Vanilla, and Sage. These are perfect Autumn and Thanksgiving colors. Our sponsor this week is DRS Designs and they generously provided the entire design team with their stamps. They have a really big selection of really cute stamps. I used a stamp called Country Window. I paper pieced the wall and window scene with Cosmo Cricket - S'more Love papers and I colored the little butterfly with Copics. Lawnscaping Challenge #35 - Critters Down Under

I made this card for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #35 - to use patterned paper. I just love this new Lawn Fawn stamp set called Critters Down Under. Ever since I visited Australia, I just love the animals there and these are just too cute! I had to use all the animals in the set - even the cute Kookaburra in the tree! I paper pieced everything only using Lawn Fawn Bright Side papers. Thanks for taking a look!

Lawnscaping Challenge #18 - TEXT

I made this card for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #18 - TEXT. I stamped the background for the texty portion of this card. I used 3 Lawn Fawn Stamp Sets - Critters in the Forest, Hats Off To You and Turkey Day. The decorative paper is from Stampin Up. I embossed the hat for last weeks challenge, but I never finished the card so I decided to use it this week. Thanks for taking a look.

Happy Wishes!

I wanted to make this card before I left for my next vacation - a week in North Myrtle Beach! Luckily, I can still take some supplies and make a card there if I want to since I'm driving. I made this card for this weeks CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #13. The challenge is to make a CAS card size 4 x 9. I decided to paper piece these Lawn Fawn lanterns. Thanks for taking a look!!!

I Like Ewe!!

I made this card for this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #120 and it's my second entry for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #14. My main inspiration came from  the pink cupcakes and polka dots - I wasn't sure if they were dogs or sheep so I went with a sheep and lots of pink to create this little happy very pink scene. Materials
1. Card stock - Pink Pirouette, Whisper White (Stampin Up)
2. Decorative Paper - Pink Pirouette (Stampin Up)
3. Stamps - Critters on the Farm, Say Cheese (Lawn Fawn)
4. Ink - Black (Stampin Up)
5. Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder (Stampin Up)
5. Zutter Distresser

Instructions
1. Create card from card stock - finished size 4.25 x 5.5
2. Cut decorative paper panel, distress edges and adhere to card
3. Draw black frame around card free hand
4. Stamp polariod on pink decorative paper and white card stock
5. Cut out center of polaroid on white paper
6. Cut out entire polariod on pink decorative paper
7. Adhere white panel to pink polaroid
8. Stamp sheep on pink paper twice, cut out "furry area" and dry emboss with polka dots
9. Cut out second sheep and adhere embossed are to original sheep
10. Stamp fence twice on decorative paper, cut out and adhere to polaroid
11. Adhere sheep to polaroid

For Your Baby Shower

I made this card for Umbrella Day for the Paper Crafts A Card A Day Call for Submissions. It was not accepted to so I changed the stickers to say For Your Baby Shower. I took it to a baby shower I went today - perfect timing. 



Materials
Card stock - peach - (Bazzil Basics)
Decorative Paper - Salt Air (Cosmo Cricket)
Stamp Set - Plus One (Lawn Fawn)
Letter Stickers - Mini Mono Alphabet Stickers (Basic Gray for Studio Calico)

Crochet Trim- Robin's Egg (American Crafts) 
Instructions
1. Adhere peach panel to front of card
2. Stamp umbrellas on different decorative paper and cut out
3. Cut out decorative paper strip and adhere to card
4. Adhere umbrellas to strip
5. Adhere crochet trim to bottom of card
6. Affix letters to card

Impression Obsession Black & White Challenge

I made this card for the Impression Obsession Black & White Challenge. I also used a little gray!! I love this stamp and had the idea to paper piece it. Here's what I came up with. 

Materials 
Card stock - Black & White (Stampin' Up)
Decorative Paper - White & Gray (Stampin' Up)
Stamp - Cabbage Roses (Impression Obsession), Envelope Background (Hero Arts)
Die - Label (Spellbinders)
Paper Snips (Martha Stewart)

Instructions
1. Create card from black card stock - finished size 4.25 x 5.5
2. Stamp white paper with background stamp and run through die machine twice to make frame and adhere to card
3. Stamp Cabbage Roses stamp on multiple pieces of decorative paper and cut out and piece together - adhere to card with foam tape

Unity Baby

I made this card for the Unity Kit of the Month Club Sketch Challenge. I only have one kit so far - the April 2011 Kit. I love these stamps, they're so easy to work with and cute. Below is the sketch.

Here's what I came up with.


Materials
Card stock - Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue (Stampin' Up)
Decorative Paper - Certainly Celery (Stampin' Up)
Ink - Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue (Stampin' Up) London Fog (Momento)
Stamps - Unity April Kit (Unity Kit of the Month Club)
Embossing Folder - Polka Dots (Stampin' Up)
Dies - Circle, Scallop Circle (Spellbinders Nestabilities) Scallops (Stampin' Up)
Twine - White (Stampin' Up)

Instructions
1. Create card from card stock - finished size 4.25 x 5.5 (top fold)
2. Stamp harlequin background
3. Stamp Baby circle, cut with circle die, cut scallop circle - adhere together and adhere to card
4. Add decorative paper to bottom of card
5. Cut paper strips (run pink through embossing folder) and adhere to card
6. Run blue paper through scallop die and adhere to card
7. Tie white twine
8. Stamp onesies on decorative paper, cut out and adhere to card with foam tape

Pinwheel Hello!

I made this card for the Scrappy Saturday Wee Memories Challenge. This one requires paper piecing. It's sponsored by Tiffany Doodles Digi Stamps. I've never used a digi stamp so I downloaded a few and thought I would try them out. It was fun! I thought I would let the image stand for itself - it's a deceptively simple looking card. Materials
Card stock - Whisper White (Stampin' Up)
Decorative Paper - Brights (Stampin' Up)
Stamp - Pinwheel - Tiffany Doodles Digi Stamp, Essential Messages (Hero Arts)
Button - Stampin' Up


Instructions
1. Create card from card stock
2. Print one copy of pinwheel on white paper and adhere to card
3. Print a copy of the pinwheel on different patterned papers, fussy cut & adhere to card
4. Stamp sentiment
5. Add Button

Nauti-Cool!

I made this card for the OTWC Challenge #52. Here is the inspiration photo and colors. It was fun to make a cheery, summery card. I hope I can get out on the lake some this summer. Thanks for taking a look.



Here is what I came up with.


Materials
Card stock - Crumb Cake, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Baha Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight (Stampin Up)
Decorative Paper  - Tangerine Tango (Stampin Up)
Ink - Black, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point (Stampin' Up)
Stamps - Nauti-Cool (Wilson Designs), Envelope Background (Hero Arts) Sunny Happy Skies (Unity Stamp Company)
Twine - The Twinery
Waves - Provo Craft
Paper Snips - Martha Stewart

Instructions
1. Create top fold card from card stock - final size 4.25 x 5.5
2. Cut light blue with electronic cutter, then cut darker blue free hand to fill in the open areas
3. Adhere the two blues together and adhere to card with foam tape
4. Stamp clouds, cut out and adhere to card with foam tape
5. Stamp Sail on decorative paper and cut out
6. Stamp white card stock with Envelope Background stamp in orange, then stamp with black onto the are with the envelope pattern with bottom of boat, cut out, color blue and yellow and adhere to card with card stock
7. Stamp flags on orange, blue and yellow card stock and cut out
8. Adhere twine to top of card with glue dots (cut in half)
9. Adhere flags on card on the twine with foam tape
10. Stamp the sun on white paper with Daffodil Delight Ink, cut out and adhere to paper with foam tape
11. Stamp sentiment in black ink

Life of the Party Birthday

I wanted to do a kids birthday card and decided to use the new Hero Arts and Basic Gray stamp sets called Life of the Party. I used decorative paper on the card for accents and paper piecing to add interest to the cones & pinwheel. 

Materials
Card stock - white (Stampin' Up)
Decorative Paper - Life of the Party (Hero Arts)
Stamp Sets - Life of the Party, Life of the Party Dots (Hero Arts)
Ink - Baha Breeze, Black (Stampin' Up)
Tools - paper snips (Martha Stewart)

Instructions
1. Create card from card stock - finished size is 5 x 5
2. Stamp background dots on card. 
3. Adhere strips of decorative paper to the card
4. Stamp figures on white card stock and cut out with paper snips
5. Stamp figures on decorative paper and cut out the tops of the figure with paper snips
6. Adhere decorative paper pieces to white stamped figures
7. Stamp ticket and cut out
8. Color in stamped images
9. Adhere images to card with foam tape

You Lift My Spirits!

This card uses paper piecing to create dramatic hot air balloons floating in the clouds.




Materials List


Stamp Set - Look Up Addition - Practicing Creativity, Sunny Happy Skies (clouds) - Bella Blvd for Unity Stamp Company
Inks - Stampin' Up Ink pad in Basic Black
Card stock - Stampin' Up Whisper White & Bashful Blue
Designer Paper - Celebrations, Whisper White - Stampin' Up
Tools - Paper snips - Martha Stewart, 
Adhesives - Stampin' Up Snail and foam tape - Stampin' Dimensionals

Instructions
1. Create card from Bashful Blue card stock
2. Stamp large balloon on 5 different pieces of coordinating decorative paper, then stamp the small balloon on 7 different pieces of coordinating decorative paper (you can use the same paper twice if you want to)
3. Cut out one section of each balloon from each color
4. Stamp the balloon with black ink on white paper and cut out the balloon
5. Adhere the different designer paper pieces on the balloons
6. Stamp the clouds on light designer paper and cut out
7. Stamp one piece of the border on 7 different designer papers and cut out
8. Stamp border on white paper and cut out
9. Adhere border pieces to border and adhere to card - go over edges with black marker to fill in any white areas
10. Adhere clouds and balloons on card with foam tape
11. Stamp sentiment in basic black

What's Shakin'?

This fun card uses dry embossing and paper piecing to add interest.


Materials List
Stamp Set - What's Shakin'? Unity Stamp Co., Itty Bitty 
Inks - Stampin' Up Ink pad in Basic Black
Card stock - Stampin' Up Whisper White and Bazzill Basics Card stock on Petty Cash, Champagne, and Candlelight
Embellishments - White rick rack - local craft store, twine - Papertrey Ink, small silver brad - Michaels
Tools - Paper snips - Martha Stewart, Pattern #2 and Large Dots Texturz plates from Stampin Up and Label, Oval #3 and Label, Ornate #2 dies from Sizzix, Big Shot from Stampin' Up
Adhesives - Stampin' Up Snail and foam tape - Stampin' Dimensionals, Scotch tape

Instructions
1. Create card from Champagne card stock.
2. Emboss card with large dots impression plate
3. Cut yellow and green strips 5.25 x .5 inches. 
4. Turn them upside down, place them together and tape with Scotch tape
5. Emboss yellow, green strips with Pattern #2 Texturz plate
6. Adhere embosses yellow and green striped rectangle to card
7. Adhere white rick rack to card
8. Stamp shakers in black ink on whisper white, petty cash and candlelight card stock
9. Cuts out white shakers with paper snips
10. Cut out top of shaker in the yellow and bottom areas in the green, then adhere to the white shakers and adhere to card with foam tape
11. Die cut the oval #3 and ornate label with Big Shot
12. Stamp sentiment on white oval, adhere oval to ornate label
13. Glue twine on back of ornate label 
14. Attach brad to card
15. Place foam tape on sentiment frame and "hang" sentiment frame on small brad
