Avery Elle Challenge #18

I made this card for the current Avery Elle Challenge. The theme is holiday. I've had this snowman for a while and I really wanted to use him. I used Bo Bunny Candy Cane Lane papers. I colored the snowman with a white chalk marker to make him a slightly different white than his hat. The tag die is from Pretty Pink Posh. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #43

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. Our challenge this week is to get inspiration for you card from our Inspiration Photo. For the background I used Crate Paper - Snow Day on the top and Lawn Fawn on the bottom. The bottom paper gave a little bit of a candy cane feel to me. I paper pieced the mug from DCWV paper. The stamp set is from Mama Elephant. I added some Pretty Pink Posh white sequins for "marshmallows" on the top of the mug. Finally, I inked the edges with a chalk ink edger in Attic Dust.

Christmas Card Challenges #38

Welcome to this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. This week the challenge is to use embossing dry or heat embossing. I heat embossed this snowman and sentiment from Denami Designs on Not Quite Navy paper from Stampin' Up.  Then I added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for some fun "snow" accents. Christmas Card Challenges #36

Welcome to this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. This week the challenge is to use at least two embellishments on your card.  I used several embellishments on my card. First I made a tag using a die by Pretty Pink Posh. Then I made a slightly larger shaped tag out of patterned paper. The tree stamp and die is from Hero Arts. The sentiment is from Hero Arts/Studio Calico stamp set. I stamped it in Ranger Archival Ink in Leaf Green.

I added some sequins by Pretty Pink Posh to the tree for ornaments and I added a sparkly gold dot from DCWV to the top of the tree. Under the tree I added some present stickers that I found on clearance at Michaels last month. The taffeta ribbon is Riding Hood Red from Stampin' Up. The papers are from Crate Paper and Echo Park. Lawn Fawn Scripty Thanks

I made this card originally for the Lawnscaping Challenge #85 which is a color challenge this week and then I realized it would also fit Virginia's View Challenge #5 Die Cuts and the Moxie Fab World Wonderful Words Challenge. So, I'm entering this one into three challenges.

To make this card I made my own watercolor paper like Virginia suggested a few days ago. I wasn't sure if I would use this for the background paper or in another way. As you can see I decided on another way, to use it for my tag. Here's what my paper looked like after I colored it with my Stampin' Up watercolor pencils in the Lawnscaping Challenge colors. Then brushed over the paper with a watercolor brush. I recently bought a new, relatively expensive watercolor brush because I found the cheap ones I had constantly dropped bristles and I had to keep picking them out of my projects. Luckily I got a little discount at Michaels. But, I really love my new brush and it didn't loose any bristles, yay!!

After I finished my watercolor paper I die cut the tag which is the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 Die. I lined the edges of the tag with my black Stampers Big Brush pen. The Thanks die cut is the Scripty Thanks from Lawn Fawn. The curved line is from a Lawn Fawn stamp set called Happy Summer. The cord on the tag is from Lawn Trimmings Retro. The black paper is from PTI, the white paper is Neenah, the blue paper is from Stampin' Up, and the Tag background was made on paper from my mixed media art journal. Thanks for stopping by!

Sequin Shaker Blog Hop

I made this CAS card for the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop over at Pretty Pink Posh. I used the major jar die and stamps from the Papertrey Ink Friendship Jar set. I colored the lid with Copic markers. In the jar I used sequins from Pretty Pink Posh (Springtime Mix) and Studio Calico. The green paper is Certainly Celery form Stampin' Up.
