Vintage Back to School

I made this card for the current Simon Says Stamp and Show Anything Goes Challenge. I decided to use this cool Tim Holtz Report Card sticker and give the card a school theme since back to school is almost here! Jax Miller gave me that super 7 Gypsies alphabet tape that I thought added to the school theme. Thanks Jax!

Occasionally I make cards with a vintage feel. I don't usually share them here, because I send most of them to Stampers Sampler and I need to wait to see if they get picked up for publication. However, I do have a "vintagey" circus card that will be published in the September issue of Paper Crafts Magazine - so check it out.

Mango Margaritas, Pirate Ships and Pacifica

I have a little time this afternoon after a day of working out, then laying out and resting at the Pacifica Resort which is in our resort. Pacifica is a natural, holistic, adult hotel and spa right on the beach. It's a beautiful and relaxing place to spend a day. You may recognize it because the first Sex in the City movie was filmed there.

I thought I would share a few pictures today. The first is from a social we went to for Monte Cristo residents at Pacifica. They served Mango Margaritas and Ceviche (I love the colors in this picture). I'm not a big fan of Margaritas but I really liked these mango ones. Last night we ate at a restaurant downtown on the beach called The Office. It has a beautiful view and while we were there a tourist pirate ship sailed by. The third picture is of me and my neighbor Beverly who so graciously invited me on this trip. We are at the villa where we are staying. The last is a picture of Pacifica.

Love these colors!!

Sunshine and Rainbows in Cabo

I don't have any new cards right now. I'm on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. My neighbor invited me to her beautiful condo at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach - Monte Cristo. There are 5 girls here and we are thoroughly enjoying resting, sunning, relaxing, working out, eating, drinking and socializing. Below are some of the pictures I've taken so far.

The first is at the airport, which I think is so beautiful - it's a great place to land. The second one is the rainbow I saw on my first morning here when I went on the balcony just before dawn. The third is the view from my room here in our house which is so nice - we have our own pool and hot tub! It's truly a little piece of paradise here and I'm doing my best to enjoy every minute of it. Hope you enjoy these pictures. Thanks for stopping by. I'll have new cards next week!!

What's Cooking?

I'm entering this card into the Moxie Fab World Stamp It Cards Week Challenge. I got some new Stampin' Up items yesterday that I decided to use. Since the idea is to concentrate on stamping I used a new stamp called Now You're Cooking and embossed it in white on this great new Domestic Goddess decorative paper. I think the white embossing makes it really stand out and becomes the focus of this very domesticated card. It's a perfect card for a person who loves to cook or bake. Thanks for taking a look!
