5 for 5 Thanksgiving Day 3: Sentiments Only

Welcome to Day 3 of our 5 for 5 Thanksgiving Blog Event. Today our theme is "Sentiments Only". We are all sharing a project where we used with the focus on sentiments. Each day our 5 Designers will post a Thanksgiving Inspired Project based on a theme. Some of us are offering prizes, so be sure to visit all the links below and leave comments.

For my card today made my own subway art panel with sentiments and a couple of filler graphics. The sentiments come from so many companies like Unity, Papertrey Ink, Lawn Fawn, Impression Obsession, Hero Arts, Altenew, Denami Designs and Mama Elephant. I used Ranger Archival inks and my MISTI to help me line things up. I adhered the panel to a piece of DCWV colored cork. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the designers blogs below for more Thanksgiving Inspiration.

Unity Friends with Flair Friday

I made this card for the Unity Stamp Company Friends with Flair Friday Challenge. I used the new Woodland Creatures stamp set. I stamped the deer on watercolor paper and colored it with Zig Real Brush Clean Color Markers. I die cut a stitched circle from PTI in green cork and I covered the card with natural cork. I stamped the sentiment onto the cork with Ranger Archival Ink. Thanks for stopping by!

Hope You Can Cling To Challenge Day 30 2012

I'm very excited to be the hostess of the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers today. I hope you will find my challenge fun and will join us over at Splitcoast. My challenge is called Cork, Canvas or Clay. Just make a card using Cork, Canvas, or Clay (or if you don't have any, just use any natural surface) Upload your card to Splitcoast and use the Keyword HYCCT1230 That's it, easy peasy.

Here's is an excerpt from my challenge sample card. You can use the links to find out more about Hope You Can Cling To and all the fun prizes involved.

"Are you playing along with us? If not, you're missing out on the chance to lift the spirits of women battling breast cancer at MD Anderson, and also on more than $6500 in prizes from your favorite crafty companies. So what are you waiting for? Get to stamping!"

Here is my card. I used Papertrey Ink Stamps and dies and an idea to stack the animals based on a card by Maile Belles. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can find some time to make a card for this wonderful cause.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge #142

We have another great color story this week at The Play Date Cafe. Our colors are Cobalt, Goldenrod and Peony. Over the past few day The Play Date Cafe has been welcoming and revealing the new designers who will officially start on the team next week with our August 2 Challenge. However, we are also sad to say goodbye to Savannah, Colleen, Jinny and Denise. They have all been here so long and will be missed. I know we will all continue to visit their blogs and support them in their future endeavors.

Since it's so hot here, I thought I would do a summer card. The paper is Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, and Whisper White from Stampin' Up. The cork is also from Stampin' Up. All the stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink - Heart to Heart #6 & Flipping Out. I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Archival ink.

I hope you will join us this week and make a project with these fun colors! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! And, one lucky winner will get a prize from the fabulous Play Date Cafe prize vault and trust me, it is filled with crafty goodness!
