Gel-a-tins Wednesday - Heat Embossing

I haven't posted since last Wednesday. I went to Baltimore to visit my brother last week and had a great Thanksgiving. We did our Thanksgiving Day ritual. I went to the pool with my brother Bob Bowman at 5 a.m. and I ran 5 miles and then walked and biked for another hour while he coached practice. Michael Phelps was there practicing with the other swimmers and he looked like he's ready for London 2012. When we left I was ready to eat everything I could - and I did - and it was all so good!!

Today I'm sharing my Gel-a-tins Wednesday card. This card uses the Gel-a-tins Fancy Doily Stamp Set and heat embossing. For all the details check out the Gel-a-tins Blog. Thanks for stopping by!

Impression Obsession CAS Christmas Tree Card

I made this card for the current Impression Obsession Challenge - to make a card with stamps only - no patterned paper. I wanted to make a Christmas card since it is the season, but I only have a couple of Impression Obsession holiday stamps, so I tried to think of a way to use this cute little Dotty Tree stamp and here's what I came up with. Simple and cute I think. Thanks for taking a look!

Materials
1. Card stock - Whisper White - Stampin' Up, Red - Michaels
2. Stamp - Dotty Trees - Impression Obsession
3. Ink - London Fog - Memento
4. Markers - Assorted Colors - Copic

Hero Arts Holiday Trees Card

Yay!! I finally had time to make a card. I have so many new Hero Arts Christmas stamps that I've been dying to use so tonight I used some of my new stamps for this card. I wanted to be more like my friend Barb and have an interesting embossed background so I used clear embossing powder on the background, then sponged over it with Iced Spruce and Broken China Distress Inks and sprayed it with Vanilla Smooch Spritz Spray. You can't really tell, but the background is very shiny from the Smooch Spritz. Then I stamped the trees in Iced Spruce and Broken China, cut them out, and adhered with foam tape. No challenges for this one - just fun for me. Thanks for taking a look!!

Materials
1. Card stock - Whisper White, Baha Breeze - Stampin' Up
2. Stamps - Christmas Reindeer, Holiday Background - Hero Arts
3. Distress Inks - Iced Spruce, Broken China - Tim Holtz
4. Embossing Powder - Crystal - Martha Stewart
5. Heat Tool - Heat It - Ranger

Stamper's Sampler & Charleston

I don't have a new card today since I've been super busy since last Thursday. But, I did find out that I have a card published in the new Stamper's Sampler in the newspaper challenge section. I thought I would share some pictures from my trip to Charleston with my friend Liliana. We had a great time! Hopefully, I can get a card made before I leave for Baltimore Wednesday morning. Thanks for stopping by!

Gift Card Tin Using Gel-a-tins Stamps

Here's my first project that was highlighted on the Gel-a-tins Blog and Facebook page last Wednesday. Each design team member has a different day of the week and my day is Wednesday. The stamp set I am using this month is called Fancy Doily. It has 3 sentiments and one large medallion stamp. I repeatedly stamped the medallion in different color distress inks to make the background. For more info on this gift card holder check out the Gel-a-tins blog.

The one with the tree uses Stampin' Up's Season of Friendship and I CASed it from Bon2Scrap on Splitcoast. Thanks for taking a look. Hopefully I'll have some of my new creations up soon!!

CAS Christmas & more

I've been super busy making some things I can't share here lately, so I haven't had time to make cards for all my favorite challenges. But, I made a few simple CAS Christmas cards for Stamp Camp on Thursday. The ladies make a lot of cards in 2 hrs so I try to keep them relatively quick and easy to make. The first one uses Festive & Fun by Stampin Up and the second one is Merry Winter. I still have to come up with a few more cards. I've also included a pic of our crafty area which is amazingly clean this far ahead of time. I was busy this weekend picking things up.

Today is my birthday, but I'm doing most of my celebrating next week. I'm taking a long weekend next week to Charleston with my good friend and I can't wait!! Thanks for stopping by!
