Nauti-Cool!

I made this card for the OTWC Challenge #52. Here is the inspiration photo and colors. It was fun to make a cheery, summery card. I hope I can get out on the lake some this summer. Thanks for taking a look.



Here is what I came up with.


Materials
Card stock - Crumb Cake, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Baha Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight (Stampin Up)
Decorative Paper  - Tangerine Tango (Stampin Up)
Ink - Black, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point (Stampin' Up)
Stamps - Nauti-Cool (Wilson Designs), Envelope Background (Hero Arts) Sunny Happy Skies (Unity Stamp Company)
Twine - The Twinery
Waves - Provo Craft
Paper Snips - Martha Stewart

Instructions
1. Create top fold card from card stock - final size 4.25 x 5.5
2. Cut light blue with electronic cutter, then cut darker blue free hand to fill in the open areas
3. Adhere the two blues together and adhere to card with foam tape
4. Stamp clouds, cut out and adhere to card with foam tape
5. Stamp Sail on decorative paper and cut out
6. Stamp white card stock with Envelope Background stamp in orange, then stamp with black onto the are with the envelope pattern with bottom of boat, cut out, color blue and yellow and adhere to card with card stock
7. Stamp flags on orange, blue and yellow card stock and cut out
8. Adhere twine to top of card with glue dots (cut in half)
9. Adhere flags on card on the twine with foam tape
10. Stamp the sun on white paper with Daffodil Delight Ink, cut out and adhere to paper with foam tape
11. Stamp sentiment in black ink

Red Beetle

I made this card for The Play Date Cafe Challenge this week. You had to use the colors red, lime green, and gray. I used all Hero Arts stamps since this challenge is sponsored by Hero Arts. Below is the inspiration photo.




Here's what I came up with.

Materials
Card stock - Basic Gray, Real Red, Whisper White (Stampin' Up) Lime Green - my stash
Stamps - Going, Envelope Background, Life of the Party Dots Background (Hero Arts)
Twine - Papertrey Ink
Ink - Black, London Fog (Memento) Markers - Lipstick Red (Copic)
Dies - Oval, Scallop Oval (Sizzix)
Embossing Folders Sizzix, Tim Holtz


Instructions
1. Create card from card stock - finished size 4.25 x 5.5
2. Stamp Envelope background on front of card with gray ink
3. Cut 3.75 x 5 panel in gray - stamp with dots and adhere to card with foam tape
4. Die cut lime scalloped circle, red oval and smaller lime green oval
5. Dry emboss red and small lime green ovals
6. Stamp car, colro and cut out
7. Cut out clouds from patterned paper
8. Adhere red oval to larger scalloped oval
9. Adhere lime green oval to red oval with foam tape
10. Adhere clouds and car to card with foam tape
11. Wrap around twine and tie in a bow

Shy Tilda

I made this card for the Wee Memories Girly Magnolialicious Challenge #53  It's Shy Tilda. I don't own this stamps, it's the one they had for me to use at my Copic 101 class. I think she's really cute and thought she would be perfect for this blog. I like her so much I ordered another Tilda from Magnolia over the weekend. Can't wait until she gets here!

5. Adhere image to smaller label with foam tape
6. Adhere smaller label to larger label with foam tape
7. Adhere panel to card. 
8. Adhere pearls and rhinestones to card

Friends

I wasn't going to make a new card today, but after my acceptance e-mail from Card Maker magazine, I got inspired - so here's what I came up with. It's my 3rd and final entry into this weeks Lawnscaping Challenge. I wanted a sweet, happy card and I like how this one turned out.

 
Materials
Card Stock - crumb cake, confetti white (Stampin' Up) 
Decorative Paper - Pink Swiss Dot (Bazzill Basics)
Stamps - Critters in the Burbs, Say Cheese, too (Lawn Fawn)
Ink - Black (Memento) Old Olive (Stampin' Up)
Makers - assorted colors (Copic)
Dies - Circle, Scallop Circle (Spellbinders)
Thread - Light brown - (Sew Easy)
Adhesive - Foam tape
Paper Snips (Martha Stewart)
Tools - Sew Easy Stitch Piercer

Instructions
1. Create the card from kraft card stock - finished size is 5.5 x 5.5
2. Cut 5 x 5 panel, pierce with Sew Easy Stitch Piercer and sew the panel to the card
3. Die cut circle and scallop circle
4. Stamp grass on circle
5. Stamp images, color and adhere to circle with foam tape
6. Adhere circle to scallop circle with foam tape and adhere to card with foam tape

Made Especially For You

I've had this stamp set a while and not had a chance to use it. So I thought I would use it for this week's My Unity Place Challenge. And I just got this great new Cosmo Cricket decorative paper that I tried out also. The Challenge is to decorate the card inside and out - so I have pictures of the outside and the inside of the card.

Outside
1. Create card from card stock - finished size is 4.25 x 5.5
2. Cut decorative paper to 4.25 x 5.5 and adhere to card
3. Stamp tray, color, and cut out
4. Die cut two labels from decorative paper
5. Adhere the tray to the smaller label with foam tape, then adhere the small label to the larger label with foam tape and then adhere to card with foam tape

Inside
1. Die cut white card stock with smaller label and stamp image on label
2. Die cut larger label on decorative paper
3. Cut two designs of decorative paper in 1 inch strips and adhere to bottom of card
4. Adhere smaller label to larger label and adhere to card partially on top of decorative paper strip

HI!!!

I made this card for this weeks Lawnscaping Blog Challenge to use animals on the card. I used all Lawn Fawn stamps and it makes a cute scene. Thanks for taking a look!

Materials
Card stock - perfect plum (Stampin' Up)
Decorative Paper - Cosmo Cricket (Coordinations)
Stamp Sets - Cozy Christmas, Fanciful Frames, Critters in the Snow & Sophie's Sentiments
Ink - Black (Memento) 
Markers - assorted (Copic)


Instructions
1. Create card from purple card stock - the finished size is 4.25 x 5.5
2. Stamp all images, color and fussy cut them out - I stamped the Frame twice and cut the inside out of one and stamped the scene on it and then put it back on top of the frame
3. Sand decorative paper and adhere to card
4. Adhere images to card - put a piece of purple paper to fill in the fireplace

Mermaids!!!

7. Adhere mermaid panel to purple panel with foam tape
8. Adhere panels to card with foam tape

An Easter Trio

I realized I had to get my cards & little gifts in the mail to my 3 favorite kiddos today! So, I made these 3 Easter Cards this morning. I'm sure you can tell which one is for my goddaughter McKenna who lives in Ohio! The others are for her brother Carrick and my best friends son Memo who lives in Pembroke Pines. I made this card for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge to make a card using "critter" stamps. I chose to use these cute birds from Lawn Fawn stamps. I think it's a cute, fun little card.

Shoe Balloon Folded Card

I got a couple of Impression Obsession stamps from my local craft store, The Stamping Place. They're a little different than my normal style, but I like to try everything. It's fun to make things a little out of my zone. I'm also entering it into the Moxie Fab Challenge - In My Beautiful Balloon. To play along or see the other entries click here.

Materials
Card stock - Bashful Blue, Whisper White (Stampin' Up)
Stamp - Shoe Balloon (Impression Obsession)
Color Mediums - Black (Memento) Markers - Assorted Colors (Copic), Distress Ink - Broken Chine (Tim Holtz)
Twine - The Twinery
Brads - Michaels
Foam Tape - Stampin' Dimensionals (Stampin' Up)


Instructions
1. I took a 12 inch long piece of scrap paper and scored it 3 inches from each end and folded in the ends. The finished size is 6 x 6.5
2. Then i took the stamp and traced the outline of the rubber stamp itself with a pencil and cut out the area
3. Then I sponged on distress ink on the front - being sure to go over all edges so they're a little darker
4. Stamp the image and color with markers
5. Then I put the paper behind the cutout, traced around the image on the line of the cut out area and cut around the image on that line. 
6. Attach Balloon panel to card with foam tape
7. Add brads and tie twine around them.

Layered Flowers Thinking of You

Today I attended my first Copic class and learned some basic blending techniques. So, I couldn't wait to get home and try them out. Here is the card I came up with - probably pretty primitive, but I'm sure I'll get better with practice. I think it's a really pretty card.

Materials
Card Stock - Black, White (Stampin' Up) White Swiss Dots, Purple (Bazzill Basics) Vellum (Papertrey Ink)
Ink - Black (Memento) Black- Sentiment (Stampin' Up), Assorted Markers (Copic)
Stamp Sets - Layered Flowers (Hero Arts) Sophie's Sentiments, Bannerific (Lawn Fawn)
Tools - Paper Snips (Martha Stewart), Corner Rounder (Stampin' Up)

Instructions
1. Create card from black card stock - finished size is 4.25 x 5.5
2. Cut panels in white, black and purple at .25 inch increments smaller
3. Use corner round on opposite corners of card and panel, then adhere panels to card
4. Stamp flowers and leaf images and color, then fussy cut and adhere to card
5. Stamp sentiment and banner on vellum, cut out and adhere to card

Antique Car Father's Day Car

I made this card for my dad because he really loves antique cars. I wanted to keep it simple so I just used black ink and accents. Sometimes less is more. I know my dad will like it!


Materials
Card stock - Crumb Cake, Black (Stampin' Up)
Dye Ink - Black (Stampin' Up)
Stamp Sets - Going, Celebrate Everyday and Envelope Background (Hero Arts)
Pearls - Black (Prima Marketing)

Instructions
1. Create card from card stock - finished size 4.25 x 5.5
2. Stamp background on front of card
3. Cut black paper 3 x 3.5 and crumb cake 5 x 2.5
4. Stamp car and adhere panels together and adhere to card
5. Add black pearls
6. Stamp sentiment under panel

I just got this stamp set in today and had to try it. So, I did yet another card for the Lawnscaping Challenge with only a few hours left to enter! I used the Lawn Fawn Cozy Christmas and Bows & Holly stamp sets. The images are so cute and fun, even if it is a little early for Christmas cards!!

3. Create scallop frame with 2 scallop circle dies
4. Cut vellum and adhere to scallop frame
5. Stamp present and tag, color, cut and adhere to card

Woo Hoo!!!

This is my third card for this week Lawnscaping Challenge to make your own patterned paper out of stamps. This is another new Lawn Fawn stamp set I just got and I was anxious to try it out. I think it's a fun and happy card. 

Materials
Card stock - Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise, Confetti White (Stampin' Up)
Ink - Soft Suede (Stampin' Up) Various colored markers (Copic)
Stamp Set - Critters in the Forest (Lawn Fawn)
Punches - Modern Label punch, decorative label punch (Stampin' Up)
Dies - Circles (Spellbinders)
Buttons - Tempting Turquoise (Stampin' Up)
Twine - Blue/White Soiree (PinkPaislee)
Paper Snips (Martha Stewart)

Instructions
1. Create card from soft suede card stock - finished size is 5 x 5
2. Cut tempting turquoise 4.75 x 4.75 panel and confetti white 4.5 x4.5 panel
3. Stamp log repeatedly on white panel with soft suede ink
4. Stamp images on confetti white, color, and fussy cut!!
5. Run circle die on turquoise paper twice to get outline of circle
6. Stamp sentiment then punch out with modern label punch and then punch brown card stock with decorative label punch and adhere together.
7. Adhere circle, cut out images, sentiment, and buttons to white panel and tie twine around it several times (if it starts to unravel at the ends like mine did, put glue on your fingers and twirl the ends)

8. Adhere white panel to turquoise panel, then adhere to card

Sew Lovely!

This is the second card I made for the Lawnscaping Blog Challenge this week. I created the decorative paper from buttons in the Lawn Fawn Sew Lovely Stamp Set. I chose the colors from the Stampin' Up Color Coach. 

Materials
Card stock - Sahara Sand, Regal Rose (Stampin' Up)
Ink - Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose (Stamin' Up)
Stamp Set - Sew Lovely (Lawn Fawn)
Die - Label 8 (Spellbinders Nestabilities)
Punch - large oval, dotten scallop ribbon border (Stampin' Up)

Instructions
1. Create card from card stock - finished size 4.25 x 5.5
2. Stamp top and bottom edges of card
3. Cut inside panel to 4 x 5 and randomly stamp buttons in two colors then ink the edges
4. Stamp dress form and run through die cut machine, then ink the edges
5. Stamp sentiment, punch with oval punch and ink the edges
6. Punch pink card stock with dotted scallop ribbon border punch
7. Adhere border to panel and oval to card with foam tape
8. Adhere dress form to card with foam tape
9. Adhere panel to card

You're So Cool

I'm feeling a little wintry today. I just made this card with some new Lawn Fawn stamp sets for the Lawnscaping Blog Challenge. The challenge was to create your own decorative paper with stamps. 

Materials
1. Card Stock - Whisper White, Black, Not Quite Navy (Stampin' Up)
2. Dye Ink - Black (Stampin' Up) 
3. Craft Ink - White (Stampin' Up)
4. Markers - Black (Stampin' Up) Orange (Copic)
5. Stamp Sets - Critters in the Snow, Bannerific (Lawn Fawn)
6. Tape - foam tape
7. Tools - corner rounder punch (Stampin' Up), Paper Snips (Martha Stewart)
8. Pearls (Stampin' Up)

Instructions
1. Create card from black card stock - final size is 4.25 x 5.5
2. Cut white card stock to 4 x 5.25 and blue card stock to 3.75 x 5
3. Round corners
4. Place 4 small snowflakes on an acrylic block and stamp multiple times on blue card stock with craft ink and let dry (use heat tool to speed up drying time)
5. Stamp images, cut out and color in (add pearls to penguins for eyes)
6. Cut white snow hills, round corners and adhere to blue card stock
7. Adhere white card stock to card and blue card stock to white card stock
8. Adhere all images to card with foam tape

Framed Hello!!

This is a cute whimsical card I made when I first got this great background dot stamp. I just framed the scene and hung it on the card. I guess it's crooked because someone probably shut the door too hard!

1. Create card from confetti white card stock and stamp with background dots stamp
2. Create 2 sizes of label 8 dies - the larger one in purple, the smaller on in confetti white
3. Stamp scene on white label, color and adhere to larger label
4. Attach brad to middle of card 
5. Adhere twine to back of label and adhere label to card
6. Adhere ribbon to card

Just Saying Hello!

I wanted to use my new Hero Arts stamp set called Messages and when I looked at my table I saw all these paper scraps and I thought I would make a collage background. All the papers used are from the Basic Gray/Hero Arts Life of the Party 6x6 Paper Pack.


Materials
1. Card stock - white (Staples)
2. Decorative Papers - Life of the Party (Hero Arts)
3. Stamp Set - Messages (Hero Arts)
4. Ink - Black (Stampin' Up)

Instructions
1. Start with a couple of scrap pieces of paper that are different sizes. Then, cut more patterned paper to fit in open areas of different sizes until the card is covered.
2. Stamp sentiment and cut out.
3. Cut rectangle from patterned paper and adhere sentiment, then adhere to card.

Easter Wishes Card!

Easter is right around the corner. Here is one of the two Easter cards I've created for this Easter season. I had so much fun creating this cute card! Check Sundays post for more info on blog candy!!

1. Card stock - Basic Gray, Old Olive, So Saffron, Whisper White, Decorative Paper (Stampin' Up)
2. Ink - melon mambo, so saffron, old olive basic gray (Stampin' Up)
3. Stamp Sets - All Holidays, A Good Egg (Stampin' Up)
4. Ribbon - Old Olive (Stampin' Up)
5. Punches - circle, scallop circle (Stampin' Up)

Instructions:
1. Stamp chick in egg twice, cut one half of egg out and color with markers
2. Stamp large egg and color with markers and cut out
3. Punch circle and scallop circle, stamp sentiment on circle and adhere the 2 together with foam tape
4. Cut old olive and decorative paper strips and adhere to paper, then add ribbon
5. Adhere chicks an eggs to card with foam tape
