Christmas Card Challenges #33

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have a new Color Challenge.  These colors are so pretty together.  I can't wait to see what everyone creates.

For my card, I used PaperArtsy Jofy stamps. I colored the ornaments and words with Copic Markers. To add some depth I added Clear Pico Embellisher to the ornaments so they are thick and shiny. You can't really tell in the photo, but it's cool in person. It's such a fun product to use.  Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #31 - Photo Inspiration

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have a new Photo Inspiration Challenge.  I was definitely inspired by this sleigh. It's never too early to get started on your Christmas Cards. I hope you will join us this week!

For my card, I used some Tim Holtz papers and ephemera from his Ideology Festive Ephemera pack. It was super easy to put together. I just added some distress inks to the papers and adhered the poinsettia with foam tape. Be sure to use what you have and let the products do the work when you can. Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Monthly #26 - Reach for the Stars

It's time for a new challenge over at the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge. Our theme this month is "Reach for the Stars." Our Guest Designer and sponsor is the amazing mixed media artist Seth Apter. He's giving away one his new stamp sets to our lucky random winner!!

We are also introducing a new member of our design team - Clare Messenger. Be sure to check out the blog to see Clare's inspiring mixed media project and give her a warm welcome. I know you will love her art. Remember to check back on July 15 when we will introduce another new member of our design team!!

I created a patriotic red, white and blue card this month.

I started off creating a background with various Tim Holtz distress stains, paints, and inks.

But, I wasn't thrilled with background so I ended up cutting out my stars which are Seth Apter dies from the paper that was going to be the background.

Then I made another background. I stamped the background with a Seth Apter stamp multiple times with Versamark Ink. Then I used a couple of colors of red Distress inks to finish off the background. Then, I added a Tim Holtz chit chat sticker sentiment to finish it off.

But, I still felt like it was missing something so went around the edges of the stars with a
Dylusions white paint pen.
