Today, I'm sharing some stars made using art journal pages I made with Dylusions Christmas Stencils and spray inks. The star die is from Tim Holtz. To finish off the stars I added some white lines around the edges with a white gel pen. You can use them to decorate cards, or put a hole in them and add some twine to make ornaments, string them for a festive banner, or just pile them up in bowl for a pretty Christmas decoration. Today, I'm showing a card I made using a super cute stamp set from My Favorite Things. I just love the snowman image and the sentiment. First, I heat embossed the snowman then I used my Distress Inks that I rubbed on an acrylic block and watercolored in the snowman. I dotted the background with a white gel pen to look like snow. I used watercolor paper and card stock from my stash and a Stampin' Up border punch to finish off this fun card. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop back by tomorrow for Day 3!

Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #7 & the 12 Days of Holiday Inspiration 2014

It's time for another fun challenge over at The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog. This month we're playing TIC-TAC-TOE!! Just make Tic-Tac-Toe in any direction and be sure to tell us in your description which three things you did in your project. If you can make it more than one way, be sure to tell us.

This is also my first project for the 12 Days of Holiday Projects. 

Here's my December Holiday Project. I made Tic-Tac-Toe by using a Star, Die (star), and Glitter.  For information on how I created this canvas, please see the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog, I have a detailed tutorial there.

This background was inspired by a canvas I saw Christy Tomlinson make on a video in one of her online classes. She is amazing, if you haven't taken one of her online classes yet, I would highly recommend that you do. And, she puts the older one on sale several times a year!!

Christmas Card Challenges #53

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. Our challenge this week is everyone's favorite - Anything Goes. I made this card using papers from the Crate Paper Bundled Up Collection and Unity Stamps. This stamp is an Angie Girl. I love all her packages and that fun sentiment. I colored her using Copic Markers. I'm excited to see what you come up with this week for this fun challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

Maya Road Sparkle & Shine Kit

I recently cancelled my long time monthly kit subscription and I've been looking around for new kits to try that focus mainly on embellishments. I have plenty of stamps and papers. I found the Maya Road Sparkle & Shine holiday kit and fell in love. I ended up ordering the matching paper pad from Fancy Pants which came today and I was inspired to make these three items tonight. I can't wait to find more time to make more things with all the cool stuff in the kit. It's really filled with tons of awesome crafty goodness for a great price. First I made this card. I just LOVE that red flower I have Maya Road lace tape in several colors, but this green is perfect for Christmas Cards.

For my second card I used some more of the pretty patterned papers and the green seam binding. The kit comes with this exclusive sentiment which I love. I just put it over circles I made from other paper in the collection.

Than, I altered the paper mache box that the kit came it. I added the some fun papers with some deer on the top added some glitter tape to the box to edges. On the side of the lid I put the green lace tape. I painted the bottom of the box to match the patterned paper.
