Witchy Halloween Card - Carabelle Studio

I made my first Halloween card this year using the Carabelle Studio Stamp set called Pretty Witch and PaperArtsy Stamp Set by Clare Lloyd. I used PaperArtsy stamps to make the brayered background.

Mixed Media Monthly Mid-Month Inspiration Post

I made a second project for the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge October Mood Board Challenge.

I used a Stampotique Witch stamp  and Spider Web stamp to create this card. I blended the background using various Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Then, I stamped the Stampotique Spider Web Stamp in Wilted Violet. I watercolored the Witch with Distress Markers. Then, I sprayed water through the Tim Holtz Bat Stencil.  For the sentiment I used Black Soot Distress Ink and a Tim Holtz Stencil. Finally, I added a little Tim Holtz Industrial Sticker Spider to the spider web. I hope you will join our October Challenge and I can't wait to see what you create!

5 for 5 Halloween: Haunted House

I made this Haunted House canvas. I painted the top of the background with acrylic paint and the on the bottom I used a stencil with modeling paste then painted it with green acrylic paint and later I blended some darker ink on the grass area with a Big Brush pen to darken the area. I added stars with a stencil and modeling paste on the sky and painted them with gold paint. I cut the witch and moon from a piece of DCWV Halloween paper. 

The bat and tombstones were also cut from patterned paper. I made the house out of 3 pieces of patterned paper and added a Tim Holtz number 31. The door is from Maya Road. I used Black Soot Crackle paint on the door. The fence is a Martha Stewart punch I used with black paper that I covered with Sparkle Mod Podge. The raven, ghost and pumpkins are from the Tim Holtz Halloween Ephemera pack.

I made a Halloween card using those silly Bird Crazy Stamps and dies and sentiments. I also used the Tim Holtz houses die. I colored the background and the houses with Distress Inks. I colored the witch bird with Zig Real Brush Clean Color Markers.

For my Day 6 Project I'm sharing a card I made using the Unity Fashionista stamp called Tabitha. I stamped the image and fussy cut it. Then, I colored it with colored pencils and blended with Gamsol. I found this Happy Halloween sticker in my stash and thought it matched this card pretty well so I used it for the sentiment. I also added some Stickles to the little starts that are in the moon. For my Day 2 Project I made a mixed media piece on wood. I found the wood at a home under construction in my neighborhood. I used a Tim Holtz mask for the witch and some thick modeling paste for the "frame" of black on the sides. I saw Limor Webber do something like the modelling paste frame in one of her art journals. That's what inspired me to used the modeling paste on the sides. I took some pictures as I made this. Check the out below if you are interested in how this piece was created.  1. I started with a scrap piece of wood

2. Then I painted it with 3 coats of black gesso.

3. Then I put the Tim Holtz witch mask on it and put a layer of gesso on top.

4. Then I painted the background with Tim Holtz Distress Paints and painted the moon with Tim Holtz crackle paint.

5. Then I added the black modeling paste to the edges to make a frame.

6. The only thing left to do was take off the mask.
