Dylusions Christmas Tag

I love my new Dylusions Christmas goodies and I couldn't wait to use them. However, they came the day I left for vacation and I took them with me, but just didn't have any time to work with them there. So, today I finally made this tag. Of course, the tag is from my stash of tags that I use to wipe up the overspray from my journal pages. I thought it was a good Christmas Green. The reindeer are from the stamp set called Christmas Accessories and I also used Christmas Borders and Christmas Backgrounds. I colored in the reindeer with my Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol. For the background I just colored - the Gamsol didn't work to well on the green background. I also added Glossy Accents to the Red Nosed Reindeer to make it stand out. If you're in the US an looking for these stamps, I got mine at Inspiration Emporium. Thanks for taking a look!

Hero Arts Flickr Group Saturday Scramble

I finally got a chance to participate in the Flickr Scramble this week. The challenge was to make a sentiment using different sentiments. I used Studio Calico/Hero Arts Stamp sets for this card. The thought bubble and the "Life is" come from a set called "Hey Y'all". The real sentiment says "Life is better with friends." The "a" is from an alphabet in a stamp set I got at the Studio Calico Summer Stamp School. The "Journey", ticket, planes, and circle maps are from another set called "Air Mail". I just decided to use Stampin' Up Not Quite Navy and Garden Green for my ink colors and the papers are Not Quite Navy and Whisper White from Stampin' Up. The twine is from PTI. Thanks for taking a look!

August 1 Blog Candy Winner (a little late) & Vacay Pics

Hi!! I was away for a week on my annual vacation to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I had planned to post this from my vacation, but oops that didn't happen!! Anyway, the winner of this month's Blog Candy is Barb!! Congrats Barb!!! Head on over to her blog and leave her some love.

I've also included some pictures from my vacation. I have a timeshare and I go every year for a week at the end of July. I really love it and it's only a 2.5 hr drive from my house which makes it easy to get there. I had a friend stay with me over the weekend and my parents joined me for the last 4 days. I did lots of good eating, shopping, swimming, walking on the beach and searching for shells. I had a great time, but I was glad to get back today. I really missed Daisy and Dusty. I was so glad to see them and they were pretty glad to see me too.
