Welcome to Day 3 of the 7 Days of Halloween Inspiration Blog Event brought to you by "The Inspiration Crew". We’re a group of online crafty friends who love being creative. This time we're doing a 7-day event to provide you with tons of Halloween Inspiration.
We're making crafty projects using products we like and some
of us are even offering prizes. Check each blog and the information there for
what prizes are being offered and when the winners will be announced on that
blog.
At the bottom of this post is a list of all the crafty
ladies participating in this event. Be sure to visit all the blogs each day for
loads of fun Halloween craft ideas.
I'm also offering a prize and so are some of the other ladies!! My prize is a stash of Halloween
goodies. See picture below. To be eligible to win just be sure you are a
follower of my blog and leave a comment. The more days you comment, the more
chances you have to win!! You have until midnight EST on Sunday, October 19 to
comment for a chance to win. I'll announce the winner on my blog Tuesday,
October 21.
For
my Day 3 Project I made a banner that says SPOOKY. I cut the triangles from chipboard and colored them with Tim Holtz Distress Stain. The I alternated stamping the Dylusions birds on each one. Finally, inked the edges. To make the circles I die cut two sizes of Sizzix circles in Halloween Papers from An Eerie Tale. To make the letters I painted them with black Gesso (they were zebra striped, I found them on clearance at Hobby Lobby) and then I covered them with Sparkle Mod Podge. I cut holes in the triangles and put black tulle through the holes to hang the banner. It was really fun and easy to make. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back tomorrow
for Day 4!
Here's a close-up. You can see how sparkly the letters are.
Here's how it looks on my fireplace.
What a fun decoration and it looks really great above your fireplace.
