Christmas Card Challenges #39

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week we have a Photos Challenge with music notes. I can't wait to see what you create!

For my card, I used a Hero Arts musical notes background stamps and Artistic Outpost stamps from a set called Frosty and Friends. I decided to use a monochromatic color scheme. The papers are from Stampin' Up in Bashful Blue and Pacific Point. I stamped the snowman and background with Versamark Ink and then brushed a blue Perfect Pearls powder over it. That's why the image is a little light in places, but I think it's an interesting effect.  I stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point Ink. The banner die is from PTI. Thanks for stopping by!

For my card I made a card base from Papertrey Ink Kraft card stock. I cut a smaller panel and stamped with the Text stamp from Stampers Anonymous in black Ranger Archival Ink and inked the edges. I stamped and fussy cut the santa and adhered him to the card with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from Prima letter stamps. Then I added some black pearls to the corners to finish it off.

For my card I used a vintage stamp set from Artistic Outpost called Frosty and Friends. I think she is really cute. I stamped her and fussy cut her out and adhered her to the card with foam tape. The corner bow and sentiment are from the same stamp set. Thanks for stopping by!!

The Play Date Cafe #159

It's time for another color challenge at The Play Date Cafe. This week it's everybody's favorite - a color splash. And our splash of color this week is Maroon. My card uses a sweet Christmas girl from a stamp set by Artistic Outpost called Frosty Friends. The papers are Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black from Stampin' Up. The ink is Tuxedo Black by Memento and Cherry Cobbler by Stampin' Up. The dies are Nestabilities. I stamped her once in Cherry Cobbler and cut out her sleeves and hat. The rhinestones are Queen & Co.

Warmest Wishes & Good News

After reading my friend Rachel's blog (which is awesome - you should pay her a visit) about how she made some crafty goals for the new year, I decided to make some of my own Paper Crafting goals for 2012. To my total surprise in the first two weeks of 2012 I can already strike 2 off the list. One was to be a Tuesday Trigger winner which I was last week with Stripe-tastic and another was to finally place at CAS-ual Fridays - which I can't believe I did last week with my Home Sweet Home card! 


Another goal I have is to make Christmas cards year round so I have plenty to send out next year without having to stress out and make lots of cards in November/December. I found this new fun challenge blog called 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown. I couldn't quite make the deadline last week, but I'm in this week. I'm excited to get more use out all the Christmas stamps I bought last year and I hope to play in this challenge every chance I get. This week the challenge is a color one - black & white with a splash of red. I used this sweet girl from the Artistic Outpost stamp set called Frosty Friends. Thanks for taking a look!!

Black & White Christmas

I made this card for the current Cupcake Craft Challenge - Black & White Christmas and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes.. At first I was stumped, then I remembered this Christmas stamp set I have from Artistic Outpost and this new Hero Arts Background stamp. I thought they would make a great black & white Christmas card and I really like how it turned out. Thanks for taking a look!

Loverly London!

I made this card for the Simon Says Stamp and Show Vintage Challenge. The theme is travel and my favorite city in the world to travel to is London. I love it so much I'm including some pics of me there. The last time went was summer 2009 and I hope to get back in summer 2013 - I think 2012 will be too busy with the Olympics! 


The background map stamp is a Studio Calico & Hero Arts exclusive stamp from the Studio Calico KOM. The other stamps are from Artistic Outpost. I used three different distress inks and I was going to do the Union Jack in blue and red, but after I did the rest of the card I decided to keep it relatively monochromatic. So here's another try for me at making a "vintagey" card. Thanks for taking a look!!
