Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #23 - Dimension

It's time for another challenge over at the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge. Our theme this month is "Dimension." Just create a project that has some dimension. Our guest designer is the fabulous Wendy Vecchi!! She's made a gorgeous inspiration piece. Our sponsor is Stampers Anonymous. We will have TWO random winners and they will each receive a Wendy Vecchi stamp set and stencil!! How awesome is that?

I had so much fun playing with all my Wendy Vecchi products. I ended up making 8 pages filling up one of Wendy's Mini Mat Fat Little Books. Here is one page in the book. I will share the other pages throughout the month.

For this page I created the background using Tim Holtz Crayons and a Bret Weldle stencil.

To create the flower I stamped a Wendy Stamp from a set called Sketch Art on her Whiteout paper. I used Ranger Archival Ink to stamp the flower and Wendy Vecchi Archival inks in Tiger Lily and Orange Blossom to color in the flower.

I used a heat gun to heat up the flower and bend the petals - that's the cool part about her Whiteout (and Blackout) papers. The center of the flower, the heart, and the leaves are Wendy art parts. To color the leaves I painted them with white Gesso and then added Wendy Vecchi Archival ink in Pink Peony and Ranger Archival ink in Rose Madder. Then I stamped on the leaves with a Wendy background stamp. The fence on the bottom is a Wendy Stencil and I used Wendy's Embossing Paste colored with Tim Holtz Wilted Violet Distress Spray Stain. The sentiment are words from Tim Holtz Chit Chat.
