Moxie Fab World Spatter Challenge

Yay! I finally completed the spatter challenge!! I've been trying to think of something interesting to do for what seems like weeks now. Last week I worked out something for gingham and this week it's spatter. I only have 2 days to get the rest - I better get busy!!

Anyway, I'm entering this set of mini cards into the Moxie Fab World Spatter Challenge and you can click here to join in all the fun. I decided I wanted to use the ink from my Dylusions spray inks. I approached this as a master board project. First, I took out a 12 x 9 piece of paper from my multimedia journal to be sure the paper would be able to handle the paint. Then I opened the sprays, dipped a paint brush in them and flicked the paint onto the paper. I chose my 4 favorite colors of Dylusions Vibrant Turquoise (teal for you Rachel K), Bubblegum Pink, London Blue and Crushed Grape. This is what it looked like.

Then, I cut some Pink Paislee Scallop Mistables and sprayed them with the 4 inks until they were completely covered in the color, then I let them dry. After spraying the Mistables in my handy "spray box" which I cover with plastic, I picked up the over spray with two handy dandy manila tags that I keep in my spray area for this purpose. These are the two tags I made from the extra spray.

Then, I couldn't decide how to finish my mini cards and I finally decided I would add a punched butterfly. I decided to use one of these tags (the top one) to punch out butterflies. I picked that one because it had more variations on the colors and I tried to get some of each color from the card in each butterfly. So finally, here is the final set of butterfly mini cards. Thanks for taking a look and making it through this long blog post!
