I made this tag after being inspired by Tim Holtz Day 2 of his 12 Tags of Christmas event. Here is his tag.
And here's my tag.
So here's what I did. I don't have his music paper so I took my Tim Holtz tag and rubbed Picket Fence distress ink all over it. Then I stamped the Hero Arts background stamp in Iced Spruce Distress Ink. Then I stamped the holly & berries using Evergreen Bough & Festive Berries Distress Ink. The holly & berry stamp is from Stampin' Up. Then I stamped Seasons Greetings on the side in Festive Berries - also a Stampin' Up Stamp. And I inked the edges with my Gold dabber.
The Reindeer is of course a Tim Holtz die and I made him from grunge board. And, since I missed participating yesterday and I don't have any sticky back canvas, I decided to glitter up my deer. I combined 3 different Martha Stewart glitters - Copper, Smoky Quartz, & Florentine Gold to get this nifty color (I didn't want it to be so shiny gold). I tied a little Stampin' Up Jingle Bell around his neck with a silver cord.
For the bottom of the tag I punched a scallop border in grunge board and covered with the Gold dabber. The brads are from Tim Holtz of course. For the top, I rubbed Festive Berries Distress Ink on a canvas ribbon that had frayed edges and tied on the tag. Then I made the snowflake from grunge board using the Tim Holtz Snowman die. I covered the snowflake with Picket Fence and then covered it with Rock Candy Distress Stickles and tied a silver cord to it. Then I attached it to the tag with the #25 Tim Holtz Safety Pin.
Thanks for taking a look!!
