Just Because... (it's a great day!)

This happy card uses paper piecing and a decorative border to make a happy card for any occasion. I submitted it to Paper Crafts Magazine for their Color Play section and it wasn't accepted; however, one of my cards was and I'm thrilled that my first ever published card will be in the Sept/Oct issue of Paper Crafts Magazine!!

1. Card stock - Desert Marigold, Palo Verde, Blue Oasis, Sea Water - Bazzill Basics
2. Ink - Black - Stampin' Up
3. Stamp sets - Friendly Flags, Everyday Sayings - Hero Arts
4. Border punch - Stampin' Up
5. Twine - Papertrey Ink

1. Create card from light blue card stock and cut 1.5 inches off the bottom and punch with border punch.
2. Cut 1.5 inch strips of the other colors, punch with border punch aand adhere one at a time to the bottom of the card
3. Stamp flags on different colors of paper and cut out
4. Adhere flags to twine, then adhere twine to card (the best way is to rub the twine with glue so you don't see the adhesive)
